Margaret Littler - HGT Counselling

Meet your Counsellor: Margaret Littler

Margaret (she/her) is a Registered Counselling Therapist (CCTPEI #349) who holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Kinesiology. She works with youth and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm, with a focus on how past experiences continue to impact the present.

Margaret has a strong interest in trauma-focused work and incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), along with approaches such as CBT, DBT, and person-centred therapy. Her work supports clients in processing experiences that feel “stuck,” reducing emotional intensity, and helping things make a bit more sense.

She understands that trauma doesn’t always look the way people expect. It can show up as anxiety, disconnection, patterns in relationships, or feeling overwhelmed in everyday life. Margaret offers a steady, supportive space where you can explore what’s been weighing on you, at your own pace.

Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded. She meets clients where they are, helping build awareness, strengthen coping, and move toward feeling more stable, clear, and like yourself again.

Outside of her work, Margaret finds calm at the beach, enjoys staying active through sports, and values time with her family. These are the things that help her stay grounded and present in the work she does.
