FAQ: Intake

Intake appointments are 60-75 minutes in duration and include an introduction to the requested service, exploring risks and benefits, a review of informed consent, and additional intake documentation to support the beginning of your therapeutic process.

Please note: We are unable to bill directly at this time. However, most insurance companies accept our receipts for reimbursements

Rates for services are identified by the CCTPEI and CCPA. Services are prorated accordingly for varying session length and/or phone consultation, please note prices are subject to change at any time and notice will be given prior to your following appointment via email.

A sliding scale fee schedule can be arranged on an as-needed basis and is individually negotiated.

Payment is made via e-transfer, debit or credit card is required before the start of your scheduled session. E-transfers are to be sent to: info@hgtcounselling.com  

Fees are subject to change upon annual review.

FAQ: Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please email info@hgtcounselling.com or call our office at 

(902) 709-0388 with 24 hours’ notice to cancel to avoid fees at a rate of the full estimated session total. In consideration of others, if you are late, all appointments will end on time.

*Please note: A credit card number is required to book an appointment online. This card will be held on file and charged in its entirety for late cancellations and no shows.
